Mr. Dan joined the Primavera staff in 2003 as an Assistant Teacher in the second grade classroom, and continued with the class, eventually becoming a Lead Teacher in 2005. Dan first visited Prescott just before graduating from Dickinson College in Carlise, PA in 2000 with a degree in Environmental Science. Upon graduation, he traveled west to return to Prescott, and worked seasonally as a Trail Crew Leader and Outdoor Educator throughout the West. While working as a Volunteer Coordinator for Prescott Creeks, Dan learned about and accepted the Assistant Teacher position at Primavera School, and shortly after enrolled in Prescott College to receive his Master’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2008.
Dan believes in connecting classroom work with real live experiences. With a passion for exploring and sharing adventures in the outdoors, he organized and developed curriculum for many overnight science and history based camping field trips for students and families to places such as: Catalina Island in California, Glen Canyon on the Colorado River, Wupatki and Sunset Crater National Monuments, the Sonora Desert Museum in Tucson, Kartchner Caverns, Sedona, and Grand Canyon National Park.
After nearly 2 decades of teaching grades 2-5 at Primavera, Dan became the Director of Primavera School in the summer of 2020. Primavera School continues to be Mr. Dan’s home away from home, where he grew and matured as an educator alongside the other teachers, staff, and students. Dan is a proud parent of a Primavera Penguin, and thrilled to share the ‘Primavera Difference’ with all the families that enroll their children in the engaging and dynamic programs the school offers.

Domineque found Primavera while looking for a preschool for her daughter in 2023. She fell in love with the whole-child approach and the inspirational teachers and environment that Primavera offers. Although she was a parent at the time, she could see herself teaching at Primavera one day, and when there was finally an opening as a preschool teacher in 2024, she seized the opportunity to join the Primavera family.
Before her position as a preschool teacher at Primavera, Domineque taught Kindergarten in Chino Valley in a public school setting for 2 years, fifth and sixth grade at a private passion-based and sustainable school in California for 3 years, and fifth grade at a full inclusion charter school in California for 7 years. John is thrilled to have joined the Primavera Staff in 2021. After a variety of roles throughout his professional career he was fortunate enough to stumble into the field of environmental education. After spending two years teaching science at Aspen Creek Outdoor School in Prescott, he spent three years as the Director of Programs for Backcountry Unlimited, a Prescott based adventure company. He has experience in leading and creating programs for team building, leadership and a variety of outdoor adventures including Rock Climbing, Mountain Biking, Kayaking, Canyoneering and Orienteering.
Having grown up in a small town in New England, John understands how lucky he was to grow up in the outdoor world. As our world changes, too often we lose touch with nature and he would like to inspire the students at Primavera to learn to love, appreciate and protect the amazing place we all live.
The goal John has with everyone he works with is quite simple - To connect people with themselves, others and the natural world. In his free time you will most likely find him in a tent getting ready to explore some part of Arizona or Utah for a new experience.

When he heard about Primavera's Outdoor School, he realized it was the perfect blend of his experiences in outdoor and formal education.
While working at the Outdoor Education Camps, Ben designed and taught the entire curriculum. When he moved into the classroom, he loved being able to go into more depth on each topic. Preschool Assistant
Ms. Aubrey joined the Primavera staff in Fall 2023, after various recommendations from friends and family. She had always worked jobs with kids in the past so Primavera automatically felt like home. Ms. Aubrey currently works as a preschool aide to Ms. Sue- who she is constantly trying to learn and grow from.
Before Ms. Aubrey became an aide at Primavera she worked many different kinds of jobs. She found her love for working with children at a Sunday school; it was there she was able to start forming her skillset. From there she worked as a nanny, an ELA assistant for elementary, and an aide for middle school ceramics. All of these opportunities were more enjoyable than the last; and she can’t wait to add Primavera to the list!
Outside of school Ms. Aubrey likes to read, create mixed media paintings, thrift for vintage clothing, go on camping trips with her friends, press flowers, collect toys, listen to music really loud, crochet, watch scary movies, and sew clothes. Most of the time though, she likes to relax and enjoy the simple things like a nice cup of coffee or a sunny afternoon!
Natalia is new to Primavera School this year, but she has about 4-5 years of experience in childcare settings. She loves all of the littles at Primavera School and beyond. Currently, she is part of the Afterschool Care Program with Preschool!

Although this is her first time in a school-setting position, she is very eager and excited to be a part of the team! She hopes to continue working for Primavera for the duration of her degree program!
Natalia is an only child and an Arizona native. She enjoys drinking coffee, thrifting, and spending time with her friends and family. She hopes this semester and the year to come will be even greater!
